Marbled Cupcakes

These are fun. These are really fun. Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the twiddling process. You have to mix carefully you see or else you just end up with a slightly chocolatey cake - you want the swirling to be even and well-defined. Some might say that there is a knack, and I say 'hear hear'* to practicing baking - any excuse to 'trial recipes' (winky winky).

In my head I'm conjuring up all sorts of wonderful ideas of combinations you could swirl... Perhaps I shall try some out and let you know how it goes.

I feel I should share with you some invaluable experience and maybe one of you will listen as I seem to ignore my own advice and I would hate my insight to go to waste.

DEAR BAKER. EVEN WITH A TEA TOWEL OVER YOUR MIXER, DOUBLING THE RECIPE IS MESSY. DON'T JUST CHUCK IN THE FLOUR AND EXPECT IT TO BE SUCKED IN LIKE A VACCUM - YOUR K-BEATER WILL REBEL AND YOU WILL LIVE IN REGRET. FROM STUBBORN BAKER.

*(...I checked and it's only spelt 'here here' when you're calling a dog? All very strange. Tolkien wrote hear hear, so it must be right.)
